Z zapomnianej książki Kiyosakiego

Zanim jeszcze Robert napisał “Bogatego ojca” i stał się bardzo znany - przedstawił swoje myśli w książce “If you want to be rich and happy - don’t go to school”. Czytam ją właśnie i muszę przyznać, że zawiera wiele ciekawych koncepcji i ich wyjaśnień. Oto fragmenty:

“Working for money is only a small part of the process of creating money”. I used the analogy of riding a bicycle to explain the concept to him: “There are many parts involved in riding a bicycle. Working is like the pedaling part. It is an important part, but there is much more involved. If all you know is how to pedal, you’re destined to fall on your face. Unfortunately, most people think pedaling is all there is to riding a bike, so they are pedaling harder and harder but getting nowhere. They aren’t learning how to balance or steer. If they are staying upright at all, it is only because they’ve taken to riding one of those stationary exercise bikes, where you pedal like mad and stay firmly planted in one place.

The first lesson we absolutely must learn is that money itself is not evil. It is simply a tool, just as a pencil is a tool. A pencil can be used to write a beautiful love letter or a memo firing someone from the job. While pencil is designed to write with, it can also be used as lethal weapon to stab a person in the eye. The thing that makes the difference isn’t the object, but the motives of the person holding the pencil and handling the money.

The bottom line is that our educational system dictates to students rather than encouraging them to think for themselves. It demands that they memorize what the system wants them to know, instead of teaching them to learn how to solve their own problems or develop their own inherent creativity.

Kiyosaki pisze też o wzbogacaniu się w zawodzie …nauczyciela. Jak to się dzieje, że większość nauczycieli ledwo wiąże koniec z końcem, a on zarabia miliony dolarów właśnie nauczając?

Moja teoria jest następująca:

- Kiyosaki uczy czegoś, czego ludzie naprawdę chcą się nauczyć.

- Uczy na znacznie większą skalę niż zwykły nauczyciel (używając takich dźwigni, jak pisanie książek, tworzenie programów audio i wideo…).

- Jego materiały są (w jakimś stopniu) orygninalne, autorskie (nie musi się przejmować wymaganiami ministerstwa edukacji, ma swobodę w rozwijaniu swoich produktów i szkoleń).
